CWA Update October 2019

The chilly weather is now behind us and the temperatures are starting to rise! With this, the CWA is excited to share with you some exciting news...

Over the month of September Windsurfing New Zealand has published a National Windsurfing events calendar. You can check this out here. By being a member of the CWA you are automatically a member of WNZ so make sure to keep an eye on their calendar!

Down at Naval Point, there has been major work done by John Ross and a team of local heroes. The team have repositioned the large rocks creating a new breakwater. They have also re-spread gravel to get the ramp working again. CWA would like to say a massive thank you on behalf of the community for making the ramp useable for the upcoming season!

For anybody who would like to learn to drive a rescue boat and become a volunteer for future events - 13th of October at NPCL is a date not to miss! If you would like to get involved with this, details can be found here.

For those of you who are looking to enjoy a cold one with the locals, don't miss the Social Season Starter! This will be on the 20th of October at 1pm at the Naval Point Yacht Club. BYO drinks and BBQ will be supplied.

Remember you must be a CWA member to come to these events so don't delay and please go to the CWA website 'Members' page for instructions on how to pay by internet banking.

Hope to see you all on the water soon!
