2012 Freestyle Nationals New Zealand

The 2012 New Zealand Freestyle National Championships will be held from Dec. 1 to 2 in Wellington New Zealand.
The Championships will be organised by the WWA Wellington Windsurfing Association, for and on behalf of WNZ Windsurfing New Zealand.
The event will be based in Wellington, an exact location still to be confirmed.
During Dec. the weather conditions are generally windy. Expect the full range of wind conditions from 15 to 40knots. Temperatures require at least a summer wetsuit.
The 2009/2012 ISAF Racing Rules of Sailing – Windsurfing Competition Rules (WCR);
Competitors may be required to carry advertising for the event sponsors - both on their sails, and on a lycra vest - if supplied by the organiser.
Men’s Junior <18, Men's Open 18+, Women’s Open

Race director will decide depending on amount of participants and conditions, if Double or Single eliminations will be held.
All entries shall meet the requirements of ISAF Regulation 19 - Eligibility Code.
Competitors shall be a member of a Windsurfing New Zealand Inc or an affiliated windsurf club.
Membership formalities can be completed on site.
Entries shall be online via the WWA website, or on site, please note only cash accepted.

Prize giving

All competitors shall bring their own equipment
An independent panel of judges will be appointed.
The decisions of the Judges cannot be appealed.
The IFCA Championship Rule # 6.1 shall apply.
Competitors take part in all races at their own risk. The WWA, WNZ or any of their officials or representatives or the sponsors or their officials or representatives are not responsible, under any circumstances, for any damage, loss or injury either ashore or on the water either to persons or equipment, which may result. Participation in this event, supporting events and in each race in them is at the sole discretion of the sailor and at his/her own risk.
