Introduction to foiling (windsurfers) Q&A

Wed 16 Aug 2017
Takapuna Grammar Rowing Club

Do you have questions about foiling? How to try it? Whats the best foil to get... or when foiling is most fun? Well come down to Bayswater Marina and catch up while I go over the main changes and areas so you can best learn to foil.
I will run a Q&A session for anyone wanting to know more about foiling and whether it is as exciting and easy as everyone says. Feel free to bring your own foils so we can discuss the differences and how you can best improve or get into this exciting new dimension of windsurfing

$15 entry which will include some beers and snacks.

Windfoiling - flying the new option

Windfoils (windsurfer with a foil fin) are getting a lot of attention, and if you've been following the PWA slalom series you'll have seen how foiling can extend the wind range of your sailing, as well as providing yet another way to spend money on your sports gear. There are a few kiwi early adopters and a good number who are keen to try. Virtually all major windsurfing companies, and also some foil companies, are now promoting windsurfing foiling and providing lots of advice on the sport - the gear, the techniques, the benefits and risks.

Stolen windsurfing gear - Auckland

Dave and Kimberly have been strong supporters of the Eastbourne Slalom Plus event every year - anything we can do to recover Dave's gear would be great.
