Travel assistance for New Zealand sailors

For New Zealand sailors competing internationally, travel expenses make up a big part of their budget. Yachting New Zealand is pleased to announce that it has entered into an agreement with Singapore Airlines that will help New Zealand sailors competing overseas with both airfares and the volume of excess baggage common to those transporting sailing equipment.

How to apply
To take advantage of these fares you must book through Carlson Wagonlit Travel. The fares only apply for flights on Singapore Airlines Carriages. Contact Bindiya Naran at Carlson Wagonlit – email bnaran@carlsonwagonlit.com, ph: 921 0116

Excess baggage allowances
Singapore Airlines will allow sailors to have up to 30kg baggage, provided this is booked through Carlson Wagonlit Travel prior to 48 hours before the flight. This allowance is only for flights on Singapore Airlines (if there are connecting flights on other airlines that airline’s specified allowance applies).

Payment can be made by
- Direct Transfer into Carlson Wagonlit Travel’s bank account, details will be advised on booking
- Credit Card, a fee will apply
