Possible boost of $25 million for water safety

Yachting New Zealand seems to have scored a coup in the NZ Parliamentary process, lodging one of the submissions in favour of having part of the Excise Tax paid on fuel used in boats returned to the sport. It would appear that YNZ's submission and others have received a good hearing and the outcome is that around $25million will be returned to the boating community to be spent on boating safety and water safety education.
