A mass of international Olympic class sailors including around ten kiwis are in Hyeres, France for the start of the 40th French Olympic Sailing Week. Racing starts on Sunday 20th April and runs through until Friday 25th April. The New Zealand contingent includes five sailors who will represent us later this year at the Olympic Games, as well as one pair who will try to impress the Olympic selectors with a good performance in Hyeres. 3 kiwis will be racing in the RS:X class. MTI Youthsail will be sailed over 11 races from April 23rd to 26th. Youthsail is the final selection event for choosing the NZL Yachting Trust Youth Team to compete at the ISAF Youth Worlds in Denmark during July. MTI Youthsail is open to entries from ‘P’, Starling, Laser 4.7, Splash, Techno, RSX, Laser and Laser Radial, 420 and 29er classes. Entry for this event is required by 7 April 2008.
