Hutt City Windsurf Cup Overview
Bringing the experience of a large international windsurf event to New Zealand was the vision for the inaugural Hutt City Windsurf Cup. Certainly the scene played out at Eastbourne on Friday morning could be lifted straight from any of the PWA events around the world. A sea of brand new gear littered the grass area with sail numbers from all over the world. The media people scurried from interview to interview while the drone buzzed overhead. Canterbury Champs 19 March 2017
It took three attempts to get a day that we could race, we finally we got a nice sunny Sunday afternoon with 15 to 18knt easterly on Lyttleton harbour to race in. We had a good turnout with 11 sailors showing up to give it a go. A small 3 Gybe course was set between eastern light and the launch ramp. It was a small run up to the start line and short line that was set gave us all a good challenge to get good starts. (more...)

Its time to getaway
With so much going on I thought I would give you all a bit of info on some easy getaways and trips I recommend over the winter. I highly recomend booking your flights through experienced agents also as when traveling with gear they can often provide a few extra bags or allowances. I use Island Holidays (Pete Head) who is awesome and works to make sure flights work perfect. Otherwise Annie in Christchurch is also great. (more...)
