Submission on Proposed Northern Pegasus Bay Bylaw 2015 - Windsurfing NZ

One function of Windsurfing NZ is to represent and advocate on behalf of windsurfers, or in the case of the South Island clubs, windsports enthusiasts :-). In keeping with this a submission has been made in regard to the above bylaw proposal. The main thrust of the submission is that (a) a compromise solution is possible, with reference to the Ruakaka Beach issue (read the submission), and (b) it's better to have users with a vested interest active in the area to help police any bylaws, rather than ban everyone and have little or no monitoring. The submission does not specifically advocate for kiteboarding as we have insufficient knowledge of the location and issue to do so, that responsibility ultimately lies with the local kiteboarding community and CWA.
