Southern Lakes Windsports news August 2016

Windsurfing Instructor Course, AGM (date TBC), snowkiting ...
Hope you're having a great winter and getting up the mountain for some skiing. For those who are interested there are a lot of snow kiters in town this week, heading out for fun together. If you're interested in this check out the Snow Kite facebook page, or ring Tim Stockman. 021542770. Tim can organise lessons for you too if you're keen.

Besides that, you'll have noticed the temperatures are getting warmer earlier than usual and the westerlies have started.. weather guru David Crow thinks there's not much left for winter...could be an early start to our water season ! Let us know if you head out there.

We'll be aiming to have an AGM late Sept/early Oct to network with any newcomers to town and to plan things for the season ahead. Look forward to seeing many of you there.

In the meantime here's some advance notice of a Windsurf instructors course to be held 7-9th October. Its $350, Fri night, full day Sat and Sun, and could give you a national instructors qualification. At the moment we are still confirming the venue Queenstown or Dunedin. The course is currently planned for Queenstown but I have advertised it to Dunedin as well and will make a final decision based on enquiries. So let me know asap if you're keen,

All the best and see you on the water soon,
Sue :)
