What's new this season?

This season we offer two membership options - standard ($30) and with gear rental ($40). In addition to the social events, networking, and access and rigging maintenance, SLWRC this year offers additional benefits to members.

SLWRC teamed up with local and not so local businesses to offer you discounted gear and services. We are planning to add more benefits but so far we can confirm:
10-20% off when buying gear from Small Planet
free shipping and a minimum of 10% discount at Watercooled
10% discount at Kitesports
10% off kitesurfing lessons with Kitesports in Christchurch (that's a $65 saving for a beginner course and your membership reimbursed right there!)
10% off with Queenstown Mountain Guides

This year you will get a club membership card which will give you access to the above benefits. You can pick it up at our Open Day on the 20th of November at Frankton Beach or from Small Planet after that.

Would you like to do more?

If you are a business owner and would like to support SLWRC by offering benefits to our members, please contact us on slwindriders@gmail.com. This will be published on our web page, on facebook in the next newsletters. This means lot's of backlinks (SEO galore), google will love you for this for this and Good Karma will reward you with plenty of wind!

We are also looking for volunteers for the Open Day, please email slwindriders@gmail.com if interested. Sue could really use some support with windsurf lessons, we will need someone to help newbies with the trainer kite, maybe even show them how to rig a proper kite, BBQ chefs are always in demand and there will be countless small things you can do to help out - from event set up, to sign up forms and sharing your immense local's knowledge with new and old kitesurfers and windsurfers.

We are not expecting any incidents or injuries but if you're a doctor/nurse/are trained in first aid, we could really use your help!

Thanks for being the most amazing club member and see you on the water!
