Promote your event on Windsurfing NZ

Great things happen when you list your event or send your story to Windsurfing NZ. In addition to list your event on this website we also send your event details to other web sites, and the events and stories are picked up by search engines and via RSS (syndication) feeds.

An example of this was a recent combined windsurfing weekend on the south coast of the South Island between the newly formed Invercargill Windsports Club and the Southren Lakes Windriders. The original event was posted on the Windsurfing NZ site and the NZLive.com site which is the government sponsored national event website. The event was then picked up by NewZealand.com / PureNZ website as well as Google.com and other search engines.

After the event a story and pictures were posted on the Windsurfing NZ site and with a day this story was popping up on Google news feeds and international websites such as Surfertoday.com.

What do you need to do?

  • Contact us and let us know about your event or story
  • If you have a lot of details or files that you can't send through the contact form then let us know, we'll get back to you and you can email them
  • If you have pictures, you can load them onto your preferred photo site (Flickr, Camtasia etc.) and we can reference them from there.
  • If you want to email images, please resize them to a maximum of about 600x600 px, straight out of the camera files are too big for the web and we have to resize them.
  • We can host entry forms, NOR etc. - pdf format preferred
  • Whatever you do, let us know and we'll do our best to promote it - you never know where it might turn up!
