Big Changes this year with 4 rounds;
18-19 November – Round 1 - Lake Clearwater combined with CWA 25th celebration and Canterbury show weekend. (Starts Saturday)
25-26 November – Round 2 - Lyttelton / Christchurch Round
02-03 December – Round 3 - Dunedin Round
01–03 January – Round 4 – Aviemore Round

Lake Clearwater weekend is combined with CWA 25th celebrations.

Time to dust off your gear!
Hope you start early and get lots of sailing in this season. Remember the South coast waters are a lot warmer than the lake, might be worth a visit to Colac Bay/Monkey Island/Oreti/Riverton…

The Ice breaker is this weekend.
It will be fairly causal, some racing for those who want it or just come down for a free sail and or a catch up. The forecast is looking good for Saturday see below.
Low tide will be around 12:20pm
Skippers meeting will be at 11:00am not 10:00am as previously advertised.
There will be a BBQ and a few refreshments late afternoon say around 4.30pm
Three Day Outlook
Developing early Saturday northeast 15 knots, rising late Saturday 25 knots with rough sea. Moderate southwest swell easing Sunday. Moderate northeast swell developing Sunday.

Well..... after some time to recover, here is our report on the 2017 NZ Boardstore Slalom Windsurfing Nationals:
41 competitors in total all started arriving on the Monday before the start of the event. We had 9 storage containers dotted around our clubrooms that are situated right on the shore front of our beautiful harbour and two neighboring buildings were loaned to us for extra room for the prize giving, Skippers meetings finish line result taking and even accommodation for those that wanted to stay onsite.
