CWA News January 2014

January is nearly over and there have not been many good sailing days, but lets hope for better days.

Beginner Windsurf day – Saturday

Saturday morning at 11am at Scott Park we have the first learn to windsurf day, so see you there if you can make it.

There are currently two entrances BEFORE you get to the old blocked off entrance to Scott park heading east on Main road.

Lock code at Lyttleton has changed

We have changed to code for the gate lock at Lyttleton, so you need to be a paid up member to access to new code on our website. Good incentive to pay your membership to get all year round free access. Visit http://www.cwa.org.nz/wp/?page_id=106 when you have logged in at http://cwa.org.nz

Stay up to date via SMS texting

We have introduced a new system of texting each other when you are at a good site for sailing or heading out or to see were sailors are at.

Visit http://www.cwa.org.nz/wp/?page_id=951 to get more details on how to use the SMS texting to stay in touch.

Please note, this is only available to paid members, we know who you are, so if if you start using it and are not a paid up member, we will remove your cellphone number.

Kite Nationals 2014

We have the Kite Nationals starting on Feb 05 – Feb 09, visit here to get the entry form https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1Cu_8FUeGCAj7-jbqyAERQ1hhArUhc9jlfdhcGVp...

Junior Camp and Kendall cup

This is being held over the last week and the finale is the weekend with racing on Saturday and Sunday. We are looking for volunteers to help out so please contact Andrea on 0274 356 9475.

There will also be senior racing held there, so if your interested visit https://www.facebook.com/groups/groundswellnz/ for details

Working Bee February 01/02 – Scott park

We need your help to remove the vegetation fence at Scott park so we can make use of the old bowling club grass area for rigging. Please turn up at Scott park next Saturday at 9am with the biggest implements of destruction you can find to remove shrubs and bushes. The council will remove the debris.

See you on the water
