Scott park Master plan

The master plan for Main road from the Ferrymead bridge to Sumner is out for consultation and submission which close on 22 November. This includes Scott park which our plan is included, but is under attack from the Coastal Pathway organisation who want to run the 4 metre wide pathway either through the middle of the park or even worse along the edge of the estuary.

We have been working diligently on your behalf to preserve unencumbered access, but we need your help to achieve this.

Please go to the CCC website Main Road plan – have your say for details on how to submit electronically or download the link to the submission form Draft Main Road Master Plan submission form in favour of the current proposed plan for Scott park. You need to submit in terms of ease of access to the water with the current plan and the danger of having cyclists entering the park with pedestrians and existing water users trying to gain access to the water.

Hope to see you on Saturday night or on the water

Lindsay
President, CWA
