Canterbury Windsports Assn AGM 2019

Wednesday, September 11, 2019 - 19:00 - 21:00
The Good Home, Ferrymead

Winter might be running late, but the CWA committee is busy making plans for the new season and keeping an eye on developments in 'our' places.

The 2019-20 calendar of events will be available at the AGM in September, including new events such as 'park-style' kiting at the estuary and foiling on the harbour. Also, the CWA will again be hosting the New Zealand Windsurf Slalom Nationals in Lyttelton, from the 8th to the 12th of January 2020 - more to come.

Meanwhile, landscaping at Scott Park is being finalised, and issues with 'our' new ramp at Naval Point are being addressed. Note that development options for Lyttelton's Naval Point are now open for public submission (closing 28th July), and we encourage you to have a look and let the land lubbers, er planners, know your ideas from a windsurfing or kiting perspective. Seriously, the planners welcome input from particular user groups, and this is prime waterfront access that has long been maintained and valued by our members.

SUBS - the CWA season runs from July 1 to June 31 each year, meaning subs are now due. To encourage you to get this formality out of the way early AND attend the AGM, we are putting up two prizes of $100 Groundswell vouchers to be drawn at the AGM (i.e. you must pay before the AGM and be present at the prize draw). So don't delay and please go to the CWA website 'Members' page for instructions on how to pay by internet banking.

AGM - Wednesday 11th September at The Good Home, 2a Waterman Pl, Ferrymead, from 7pm for a 7.30 start, all welcome.

Agenda:
- Presidents Report,
- Treasurers Report,
- Election of Officers,
- General Business
