Notice of Windsurfing NZ AGM and call for nominations.

Fri 6 Feb 2015
Christchurch

It's normal practice to hold the WNZ AGM at the Nationals as this is the one time when most of those active in the organisation are able to get together. The actual date, time and place are to be confirmed - the practical approach over the last few years is to hold the AGM during down time (which does occur) during the event, i.e. while waiting for wind ... so anyone planning to attend who will not actually be at the event needs to be aware of this and make sure we have your contact details.

Aviemore Summer Bash

Thu 1 Jan 2015 - Sat 3 Jan 2015
Lake Aviemore

Windsurfing and kiting social get-together. Repeat of a great event. Simple across the lake and back race series for Windsurfers and Kiters. Think about this as an option for Xmas/New Year, there's always lots of windsurfers and kiters camping there. Very social.
Possibility of and Upwind/Downwind race as well on New Years eve.

Just giving you some advance notice of an event which will be happening on Lake Hawea 30.Nov/1.Dec. Organised by the Hotel and some local kiters and supported by the club. It will focus around camping and sailing together, with a good night out at the hotel on the Saturday. (Sorry those of you doing windsurf South Island Cup but we'll always clash with something and it is the windy time there). Contact. Yohann 02108435786.

Southern Lakes Wind Riders AGM

Mon 14 Oct 2013
Brazz Bar, Athol St, Queenstown

Please do come along with ideas about what you’d like out of the club.…..Last year nothing much happened with the club, apart from buying some great beginners/improvers gear to encourage new members (many thanks to Craig for all his hard work to make this happen)…. So this year we’re looking for as many people as possible to get involved so we can share the load and keep this club active. Please think about whether you’d be prepared to do just a little bit, even if it’s just being a contact for new members in your area.

2013 Womens Camp at Lake Clearwater,

Well the wind may not have blown much.. but that didn't stop the women who attended the annual womens camp at Clearwater, near Christchurch from having fun.

On Friday night a couple of the early arrivals ventured out on their long boards and had a relaxing unwind from the trip. Then on Saturday
we were met by a hot calm day... plenty of time for catch ups.
