Formula Nationals results, Luke Watson retains title.
The Formula Nationals got under way with the briefing and registration on the Thursday (unfortunately there were only 5 entries), but not enough wind for any racing.
National Championships - J P Tobin reports
Result : 2nd. Great conditions for day one of the 2010 National's if you wanted to go fishing!!!...fortunately the Dutch team were organised enough to kit their coach boat out with a couple of lines so fishing it was, despite the complete lack of breeze one race was completed (3rd) and one fish was caught...and released.
Stolen windsurfing gear - North Shore, Auckland
On Sunday 14 February, someone broke into my house and stole most of my windsurfing gear. If there is any way you could publicise the list below to people and ask them to email me at rick@rickpetford.com if they see any of it for sale, I would be most grateful. I will gladly offer a reward for any information leading it's return. Regards Rick Petford

RS:X / Techno News
Thursday 4th December brought together some of NZ best sailors to promote windsurfing as a sport and to officially launch the six new Techno boards destined for Tauranga. They are courtesy of the Bay of Plenty Sailing Academy and funded by TECT. At $5800 apiece fully kitted out, the boards aren't cheap but spokesman Stuart Pedersen is adamant they'll be a great investment for the sport's future. "Getting these boards is huge - they'll provide a pathway from learning to windsurf through to getting into serious racing without having to commit to buying your own gear," Pedersen said.
