Waterbourne 2021

Sat 27 Feb 2021 - Sun 21 Mar 2021
Takapuna Beach, Auckland

The Waterbourne Windsurfing and Windfoiling will be taking place on Takapuna Beach on the 27th and 28th of February. This is going to be a great opportunity for the public to see a competitive windsurfing and windfoiling event.

There are two entry options available to choose from, either enter all the races or enter the one hour classic only.

All races: If you choose to enter all the races, then this means you will get the opportunity to race in all disciplines including the One hour classic race as well as the Windward leeward or Sprint Slalom races which will be chosen by the race coordinator on the day.

One hour classic: If you choose to enter the One hour classic only you may use any board style/discipline of your choice on the day of racing including RS:X, Slalom, Foil, Race Board or whatever you feel best suited to the wind conditions. For the One Hour Classic. The race directors will plan to run this on the day with the highest wind speeds. Early-bird tickets are available for the Waterbourne windsurfing and windfoiling championships!

The ticket price will be increasing on the 31st of December at midnight, so grab your tickets now.

We will also be having our music night, Ki Tatahi day; where we will be having performances from Kings, Ria Hall and Tobias. When purchasing your windfoiling and windsurfing tickets, you will be able to purchase the Ki Tatahi day tickets at a discounted price.

Windsurfing (& sailing) instructor jobs in Auckland, New Zealand

Madloop - 3 job vacancies in Auckland, New Zealand.
We are a Windsurfing and Sailing School, with 50 boards and 50 rigs and half a dozen sailboats,
Hobies, Lasers, Open Bic and Opti.
Have been open since 1994 and we are open all year round.
Need some instructors, that can Windsurf to a reasonable level. And if one of these instructors could sail and windsurf to quite a good standard, that would be advantageous.
Personal skills on water, matter to me more , so if you are lowly qualified . But quite a good windsurfer. That is fine.
Thanks, Alan McIntosh

Welcome back from the windiest, hottest, sunniest summer break we’ve seen in ages. There has been heaps of windsurfing and I know everyone is itching to get back into racing.

AWA Slalom Series - Round Two - Event Report

You may know my brother Luke, a young windsurfer of middling ability – any talent buried under a thick blanket of hangovers, laziness and a determination to hit the startline to the nearest minute rather than the nearest second. Anyway, yesterday he bought further shame upon our family when he revealed he didn’t vote.
Didn’t vote!
