Windsurfing New Zealand Club News May 2013

Its that time of the year again when we ask you to pay your affiliation fee and start thinking about next season. This modest fee helps pay for the event insurance we offer clubs, our membership fees with ISAF, and the costs of advocacy and promotion of the sport.

2013 Womens Camp at Lake Clearwater,

Well the wind may not have blown much.. but that didn't stop the women who attended the annual womens camp at Clearwater, near Christchurch from having fun.

On Friday night a couple of the early arrivals ventured out on their long boards and had a relaxing unwind from the trip. Then on Saturday
we were met by a hot calm day... plenty of time for catch ups.

Glenorchy Big Fun Weekend. Postponed til further notice.

Sorry to say that the forecast has changed again and its now looking like quite light south west most of the weekend which won't work up there.
We still want this to happen but due to organisers commitments it won't be next weekend for sure.. so keep your eye out for your emails later in March.

Sail number registration - all club members are entitled to one so get yours now!

You are required to be a member of an affiliated club to take part in WNZ sanctioned events - this is a requirement of the insurance cover WNZ provides to clubs. Events may also require you to have a sail number.

Southern Lakes - Glenorchy Fun Weekend postponed 1 week owing to weather

unfortunately the Glenorchy Event this weekend is being postponed to the following weekend 25th and 26th of Feb due to weather conditions. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. However the following weekend is still going to be epic so pack your gear and we will see you there :)
