Next Saturday 21st October we have the CWA Season Starter Social from 4pm at the CWA Shed at Scott Park.

We'll be putting on BBQ, snacks, and music, so please come along (BYO drinks) and have a fun afternoon. High tide is at 6.30pm so there should be heaps of water for all activists!

Great time to catch up with your 'Summer mates' find a new riding buddy, and pay your CWA membership for the season :)

Points from Round 1 in Dunedin and Round 2 Christchurch count towards final results.

how it works, I will give two days notice before event wind must be 18 knots plus, reading at the eastcoast cafe before race start I have the nor east, and nor west course already planned and will post the course soon, but as a heads up the
"NOR EAST COURSE"
 start is on the shore of kite point
 first mark around the black bouy east of start,

Winter is over, daylight saving is back, and the east wind is blowing - it's time to get back on the water!

Season Starter: Kick start the season off with a social gathering on Saturday 29 October from 7pm at the Mt Pleasant Yacht Club, nibbles and a beer or wine for members, as well as BYO. Watch for it on the CWA Facebook Page

Windsurf New Zealand Sail Numbers
If you have a sail number for racing or want to acquire one then under new rules you have to be a financial member of Windsurf New Zealand or an affiliated club. The CWA has been asked to supply WNZ a list of members so that they can see who is a paid member and has rights to a sail number. If this affects you then read on...

2016 Groundswell New Zealand Windsurf Slalom Nationals results

After 3 frustrating days of waiting for wind the 2016 nationals are over.
Thursday and Friday offered up the minimum required to squeeze through 7 rounds of racing.
Saturday was supposed to bring the big winds, unfortunately the wind was a no show.
So in the end, on Thursday there were 5 rounds for the Gold fleet, Youth/Junior/Womens & 2 rounds for the Silver. On Friday managed another 2 rounds for all Fleets.
That allowed a result for the event & winners were found for all the fleets.
The Fleets were :

2 Gold Fleets
1 Youth / Junior / Womens
1 Silver

Gold Fleet Winners.
