AMP Scholarships (Do your thing) - Vote for Thomas Davies, freestyle windsurfer

My thing is competitive windsurfing - To share my passion, commitment and dedication to freestyle and wave windsurfing with the whole of New Zealand.

The nature of my goal
Windsurfing is what I do, what I love and who I am. Windsurfing gives me freedom. Since taking up the sport of windsurfing a few years ago it has changed the course of my life forever. It drives what I do, what I want to achieve and where I want to go. It has taught me about places I had otherwise never heard of and introduced me to people from every corner of the world. Windsurfing is a sport for every type of person; adventurous, cautious, young and old there is something for everyone. I want to change the perception of windsurfing in New Zealand and encourage more people to get involved in a hugely diverse sport. Vote now

Techno193

"The Techno 293 Class is devoted to fostering the development of windsurf racing for competitors under the age of 17 years old around the world through the promotion of an inexpensive racing format."

Freestyle - Acrobatic and Versatile

The most acrobatic and versatile windsurfing discipline. It is the “youth blood” and has been responsible for much of the new talent that has come into the sport in recent years. Winner is who does the most exciting and skilfull maneuvers. The conditions are from flat water in a lake and a slight breeze to stormy winds in Canarian waves. This makes freestyle also practicable for amateurs who do not have the best waves right in front of their houses.
