Craigs Investment Partners Eastbourne Slalom Plus 5-6 December 2015

Eastbourne once again turned it on for the windsurfers, with winds from 25 to 30 knots for most of the day allowing 13 races to be completed.
Conditions were fast and demanding with plenty of spills and some close finishes for the 22 sailors who turned up to sample the windiest city in the world.

Laurence's PWA New Caledonia adventure #4 - wrap up

(Laurence's final posting from the event)
It has been an awesome experience coming to New Caledonia for the PWA. Below is a quick overview of how I felt the event went and what happened in today's racing.

Todays racing

Today the forecast didn't come as expected and was overcast in the morning. This made the sea breeze kick in later which is why we only completed one round.

Laurence's PWA New Caledonia adventure #3

Well its been a huge week of racing for me and everyone. The trade wind's have been strong every day, which have made for three days of hectic racing. The afternoons have been the strongest winds around 20-25knots constant.

Tomorrow is the final day

Over the last two days we have had another five eliminations. I have had a mixture of results where I am finally starting to feel comfortable with the location and wind. Tomorrow is the last day of racing where it is expected to be the windiest day so far (around 30+knots). Check out the live feed on the PWA website for all the action.

Laurence's PWA New Caledonia adventure #2

After two days of no wind, Noumea has certainly decided to deliver. The next four days are forecast to be the same strength as today (20+knots). It will be a huge battle where fatigue will be a huge factor. Today was an absolutely epic day! Words can't express how much I have learnt but also how much fun I had.

Laurence's PWA New Caledonia adventure #1

PWA - New Caledonia

After an absolutely hectic semester at university, I finished exams on Friday (November 14th). I had a look at the forecast for the next day and a solid 30+knots was forecast. I wasn’t planning on sailing however there was the North Island Champs so I couldn't say no to a bit of competition. Thpacking.
