Canterbury Wave Sailing back in the day (1991)
This article was originally published in the October 1991 issue of Tacks and Jibes [CWA newsletter] and is attributable to Matt Caird [reproduced here by Russell Matheison].
After reading the May issue of the Tacks and Jibes you would be excused for thinking that Christchurch windsurfers are all "Lakeheads". However, this perception is wrong. There's another class of windsurfers out there who do not classify themselves as Lakeheads, rather, they call themselves women or men. The hardiest of these women and men are wavesailors, a group of which I consider myself a member.
